Donabel Whittaker

Donabel C. Whittaker, age 95, formerly of Quincy, died Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center in White Hall, IL.
She was born April 24, 1927 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Dewey David Pratt and Gladys Helen Boatman Pratt. On January 7, 1944, she married Raymond R. Whittaker in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1986.
She was employed for 20 years at Motorola, and she was employed for 11 years at Sprout's Inn Restaurant as a salad maker. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and she was an avid bingo player.
Survivors include: six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 17 great grand children; a brother, Jerry (Mary Jane) Pratt of Payson, IL; a sister-in-law, Karen Pratt of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, Donabel was preceded in death by: her parents; two sons, David and Raymond F. " Sonny" (Sharon) Whittaker; two grandsons, Scott and Jason Whittaker; four sisters, Charlene Collum, Bernice Hacker, Kate Steffes, and Vera Jarvis; and seven brothers, Eldean, Clarence, Ronald, Wayne, Robert, and Lawrence Pratt, and Dewey David.
Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the gravesite in Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, IL.
Graveside Service: 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook, IL.
