Marcos Servin
August 24, 1958 - October 4, 2022

Marcos Servin "Mark" was born in San Fernando, CA, on August 24, 1958. He transferred to his heavenly home on October 4, 2022, in La Habra, CA at age 64.
As the eldest of five children and the only boy, born to the Marcus E. Servin and Rosalie (Ramirez) Servin, Marcos Servin and his siblings grew up in Santa Fe Springs.
After Santa Fe High School, Marcos served his country for 9 years in the United States Marine Corps. During those years he served in the infantry, was a member of the Reconnaissance (RECON) special team. He traveled many countries and cities and was sent on special assignments including high security at the United States Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras where he met and fell in love with Hislena (Ramirez) Servin at a Christmas party at the Marine House. After a year, they got married on January 28, 1984. A. few weeks later he was assigned to the American Embassy in Rome, Italy where he served 14 months on his security detail and their first-born child Mark Anthony was born in Naples, Italy.

After his assignment in Rome, he decided to leave the Marine Corps to raise his family in his home state of California, and four years later their little girl Kristen Janelle was born. During this time, he worked for SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and AFTRA (American Federation of Radio Artists) before joining the United States Postal Service where he served the public for 30 years before he retired in 2021. His public service also included serving in his church where he gave his life to Christ in 1996 by teaching young boys how to navigate through life and service in a Christian setting. In his free time, he worked at Disneyland, driving the tram, and loving it.

Servin, He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 ½ years, Hislena Servin; two children, Mark Anthony and wife Stefanie, daughter Kristen; grandchildren Isaiah, Sid, Shayla, and Lux; sisters Deborah, Elizabeth and husband Lee, Tina and partner Willie, Delores and husband Rob, along with several nieces and nephews.

Mark loved golfing, baseball, Disneyland, photography, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and was an Angel's baseball fan and Chargers fan, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
One of his favorite scriptures was Philippians 4:13 " can do all things through Christ who strengths me". As he battled End Stage Renal Disease, he also clung to David's comforting words in Psalm 23: "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me, your rod and staff comfort me." As he persisted in prayer, Mark was often herd saying, "I will fear no evil."

Interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518, November 3, 2022, at 10:00 am.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 am on November 10, 2022, at Morningstar Christian Chapel, 16241 Leffingwell Rd. Whittier, CA 90603.
