Monika Hector (Schneider) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Waldkirch, Germany. Monika met the love of her life in an American Solider named Gil Hector while he was deployed to Germany. They met on May 24, 1955, a date he never forgot, and were married November 5th of the same year. She moved to The United States with Gil where they spent the remainder of their life together raising their children, traveling and loving each other. Monika and Gil retired in Colorado Springs, Colorado after his military service.
Monika was proceeded in death by her loving husband Gil, her Mother and Father and several siblings. She is survived by her six children: Hans Schneider, Dietmar Hector, Annette Matthews (Hector) and her husband Christopher, Barbara Hector, Patty Mason (Hector) and her husband James, and Mark Hector. Monika is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many other family members who loved her dearly.
Private family services will be held this fall.
