Martha L. Fuller
September 25, 1933 - September 28, 2022

Martha "Susie" Louise Bryant Fuller ,89, died Tuesday, September 27,2022, at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy. She was born September 25,1933, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Riley V. and Ruth A. Phillips Bryant. She married Ronald H. Fuller on June 2, 1957, in the First Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 25,2016.

Martha attended Lincoln Elementary in Keokuk, Iowa, and graduated from Keokuk High School in 1951. Following her graduation, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Seither and Cherry in Keokuk from 1951-1957. After moving to Quincy, she worked as a secretary at Grace United Methodist Church until its closing in 2010.

She was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church, the Double Ring Sunday school class, had served as Communion Committee Chairperson and had been a member of the Administrative Board. She also belonged to the United Methodist Women and Dolphine Fellowship. She was a member of the Vermont Street Quilters quilting group.

Martha was a 50 year plus member and a past matron of Grace Whipple Chapter 312, Order of Eastern Star, Quincy, Illinois, currently serving as secretary and was a member of Elmira Chapter 40, Order of Eastern Star, Keokuk, Iowa. She was also a member of Miriam Shrine 3, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Quincy, Illinois, and a former member of Malta Shrine 12, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Keokuk, Iowa and also was a member of Daughters of the Nile. Martha had also been the Guardian secretary of Bethel 82, International Order of Job's Daughters. She received the Grand Cross of Color, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Keokuk, Iowa. She was a member of Dorothy Quincy Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Martha enjoyed quilting and bead art projects. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, wordsearch puzzles and reading.

Martha is survived by two daughters, Jolene Ferguson (David) of Hubbard, OR and Janelle Fuller of Quincy, IL; Donna Fuller, daughter-in-law of Quincy, IL; grandchildren Kaila Richards (Charles) and their children Natalie, Chelsea and Halle of Belleville, IL; Jared (Liz) Fuller of St. Peters, MO; Trez Reich and her children Austin, Alexis, and Avynn of Crestview, FL; and Rebecca Tournier (Jon) and their children Zachary and Bobby of Hubbard, OR, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, C. Jeffrey Fuller, grandson Richard Robert Grace, grandson-in-law David Reich, her sisters Ruth Gosnell and Nancy Bunnell, a sister in infancy, her brother Edward Bryant, a sister-in-law Thelma Waples, brothers-in-law Chester "C.G" Waples, William Fuller, and Paul Bryant and nephews Charles "Chuck" Gosnell and Scott Bryant.

Services: 10:00 Saturday, October 1,2022, at Hansen Spear Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Steven Livengood. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery

The family requests that guests wear masks to the visitation and the service.

Visitation: 4-7 Friday, September 30, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
