Richard S Sulzbach

"Dick was a roommate of mine in the seventies. He was a good friend and I did not know he had passed. I knew he had moved to fort Dodge but lost track of him. My condolences to all who knew and loved him."

"My name is Harold S. Harris. Richard Sulzbach (Dick Sully as he signed my yearbook) was one of my best friends during our time at Notre Dame high school in Burlington Iowa. We both graduated in 1964. His family had a home on the bluffs by Crapo Park overlooking the Mississippi river. A group of us would get together at his house and play yard games, board games and cards. My family had a house boat that I would take up the river and drop anchor while Dick and others would bring their boats and tie-up to the house boat. We would swim and water ski all day then play cards at night. I remember one Sunday morning after a long night on the boat we all got dressed to go to Mass. Dick stepped off the house boat and onto the dew coated deck of his boat and slipped into the river. We all had a good laugh at his expense. I am not sure he made it to church that day. I am sorry to hear about his passing. He will be fondly remembered. Harold "
