In loving memory of

William Richard Alford

Alford, William R
June 10, 1926 - September 19, 2022

Bill was born in Lynch, NE to William and Vera Alford. He was married to his loving wife Dorothy Alford for 65 years before her passing in late 2019. He is survived by his children: William Alford II (Lynette Farhart), Ann (Alford) Berglund (Barry), Ken Alford (Margie), John Alford; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grand children; other relatives and friends.

Over the years Bill started and ran multiple businesses, including Swanson Petroleum, Cornhusker Petroleum, Alford Oil Co., Alford Tire Co., VIP Touchless Carwashes, and VIP Express Carwash. He and his wife Dorothy also started the Parables Bookstore in Omaha.

Bill passionately followed his Savior Jesus his entire life and he was admired for continuous, contagious, joyful optimism. He often remarked that God had forgiven him and blessed him in so many ways and so many times, that he wanted others to know Jesus too.

Bill's passing leaves a hole in many people's hearts, and he will be missed.
