Magdalena "Maggie" Mary Tarazon passed away at St. Jude Hospital on September 11, 2022, at the age of 80 years old. She was born at White Memorial Hospital on June 4, 1942, to John and Raquel Perez. Maggie grew up in South Central Los Angeles, California attending grammar school at St. Columbkille and later attended Bishop Conaty High School.
Maggie was used to a large family, having ten siblings and now over fifty nieces and nephews. Maggie pursued a later career in cosmetology, receiving her license in 2004. Married once to Alex Tarazon but later divorced, Maggie found love again and remained in a long term relationship with Tony Chavez for over thirty years.
Maggie was an active in the communities she lived in, attending St. Bruno's Catholic Church, and participating in the Teamster's association.
Maggie loved to crochet, and especially getting Christmas gifts for her family that she loved dearly. She also loved spending time with her family and friends at casinos, and dinner at Black Angus with Tony, where they would joins friends weekly.
Maggie is survived by her partner, Tony Chavez; four brothers, John, Manuel, Tomas, and Michael; six sisters, Cecilia, Teresa, Isabel, Rachel, Dolores and Christina; and many many other nieces and nephews.
Maggie was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend she will be missed dearly.
