In loving memory of

Gloria Marie Curry
January 13, 1941 - September 10, 2022

Gloria M. Curry passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona with her three daughters by her side. She was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1941 and was the daughter of Guerino and Maria Pachera. Gloria received her Master's degree in communications from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. She was employed by the Town of Trumbull, CT as the deputy tax assessor. Upon her retirement she moved to Arizona to be near her family.

Gloria was an avid reader, a published freelance journalist, and a talented artist. She enjoyed playing scrabble, boggle and other word games. She passed time making puzzles and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She was an eternal optimist and made friends wherever she went. Her spunk and joyful nature brought a smile to all who knew her. She was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, a volunteer at the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Desert Broom Library, and the Desert Foothills Library just to name a few. For the past year she has lived at The Manor Village independent living community where she formed many friendships and enjoyed daily activities.

Gloria is survived by her three daughters and three sons-in-law; Mary Bauer (Ricky), Kathleen deStefano (John) and Stephanie Bartels (Russell), as well as her four grandchildren Parker Bartels, Emily deStefano, Jake Bartels, and Olivia deStefano, as well as her cousins Joseph Salamoni, Loretta Cerrato, and Linda Reilly. She was predeceased by her mother Mary, her father Guerino and her brother Victor. We loved her deeply and she will remain in our hearts forever.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 3:30 pm at Hansen Mortuary's Desert Hills location, 6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
