"I love you papa! I first off want to say thank you all for coming to honor my papa. I would like tell you all a little bit about my papa. He loved fishing, bowling and to anyone that knows my papa he loved to dress. He would always be best dressed for any occasion if that was church, work or a fancy occasion. When my papa liked your outfit his compliment would always be ?you look sharp?. Another thing I loved about Papa was his bright smile would light up any room. That will be something I?ll miss seeing in this lifetime. I will also miss papa calling me on my birthday?s and singing to me happy birthday sounding like Smokey Robinson. Since everyone thought he looked like him? One of my favorite moments was sitting in the green Lincoln town car with Papa and granny listening to old school music. Grandpa always used to call his grandkids walleye. That just showed that papa truly loves to fish. I love you so much papa and I am blessed that I had 20 years with you and the opportunity to be with you during my lifetime. I will always be your baby girl/ walleye forever and always. Love Misty "

"I only met Maurice once and that was at my father's, Robert Dittmer's, funeral in 2011. My dad always thought so much of Maurice and told stories of their interactions with the UAW and Electric Wheel. Dad instilled in us the greatness of this man and when he came to the funeral home for Dad's visitation the room stopped and we visited with him. We were honored to have him come and say good-bye to Dad. So sorry for your loss, he will remain in our lives through my Dad and the memories he shared when we were young."
