Priscilla Anne Milam was born on July 10, 1942, in Rochester, MN. She lost her mother at young age and Pam became like a second daughter to her mom's twin sister Lenore and her husband Vincent Carstensen and sister to their children Rev. James Jay Carstensen and Gretchen Carstensen Smelcer. She was raised and educated in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School in 1960. Pam then attended Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. On October 23, 1970, Pam was united in marriage to James Milam in Memphis, TN, where they established their home. In 1980, the couple moved to Humboldt. She was legal secretary for various law firms and most recently had been employed by Dr. Hal Schuchmann as a receptionist until retiring in 2007. Pam was an active 62 year member of the PEO Sisterhood. She attended regularly and held almost all local offices in her chapters. She was initiated into Chapter BC in Waverly in 1960. She was also a member in Memphis and in both Humboldt chapters, most recently Chapter BV, where she was a charter member. She was an avid card player especially at gin and bridge. She treasured the standing times for coffee and lunch with her friends. Pam was an amazing and loving Wife, Mother, and Granny who would never say no to sleepovers, alone visits, and bonus nights.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be left to St. Mary's School in Humboldt.

Denise Walker wrote on Sep 16, 2022:

"Jim, Andy, Brian, and Susan, Pam came into my life when I really needed a good friend. I recall how she would offer to come fold my laundry (which she found relaxing) when I had three little ones under four. We spent many hours sharing stories and visiting. She and I even had babies four days apart. I was so glad we kept in touch. A good friend is hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. I will never forget Pam, my friend. Love, Denise and Bill Walker "
