Her large extended family includes Val and John Schonarth, as well as Monte Hall and Ilene Martin-Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and a brother.
Mom was born July 25, 1931, in Willisville, Illinois, to Henry and Frieda Misselhorn. She married Dad in June 1949, and the two spent the next seven decades raising their family in Willisville, Sparta, Fairview Heights, and Quincy, Illinois. Her children, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren will always remember Mom/GG for her love of family and her devotion to her faith.
Mom had a keen intellect and loved working her crossword and number puzzles. But most of all, Mom was a fierce and vocal supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals. She both collected and gave Cardinal-themed gifts and apparel to her equally devoted Cardinal-loving family. She tried to understand how some family members strayed into the Chicago Cubs' world - but usually ended up shaking her head in sympathy.
Mom and Dad spent many years working together at Rose Exterminator in St. Louis and O'Donnell's Pest Control in Quincy. She was a long-standing member of Lutheran Church of St. John, where she served in various Women's Guild capacities.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at Blessing Memorial Hospital and Hospice as well as the Arbors Memory Care Center who provided care and comfort to Dad's feisty wife and our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
