Bernadine Hoose, 76, of Malvern, IA passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Tabor Manor Care Center in Tabor, IA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the St. Jacobs Cemetery, Graettinger, Iowa. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern is caring for Bernadine and her family.

Bernadine Mable Hoose, 76 of Malvern, IA, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Tabor Manor Nursing Home in Tabor, IA.
Bernadine was born on May 25, 1946 in Estherville, IA, the daughter of Glenadine Mable (Neilson) and Thomas Joseph Boecker. She graduated from high school and worked in the clerical department for the US Government until her retirement.
Bernadine and David Blair Hoose, Sr. were united in marriage on August 16, 1969. They moved from Washington, DC to Apache Junction, AZ, then to Graettinger, IA. The family eventually made their home in Glenwood, IA and then moved to live in Malvern.
Bernadine enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She looked forward to their family camping trips. Bernadine loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and good friend to all who knew and loved her.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband David Hoose, Sr. in 1999; son Keith Hoose in 2008; and infant brother Robert James Boecker.
Bernadine is survived by her sons, Dave Hoose and friend Denise Clay of Malvern, and Robert Hoose; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Boecker of Kingston, OK, Steven Boecker and wife Char of Sioux Falls, SD, and Gary Boecker and wife LeAnn of Graettinger; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
