Remembering Kevin R. Mabee

Kevin R. Mabee was born on July 27, 1968, in Rochester, NY. He was welcomed by parents, Richard and Linda, and had two siblings, Bryan and Joanne. Kevin's father was an electrician, and his mother was a nurse. The Mabee family also included beloved dog, Pepper.

Kevin attended Spencerport schools from elementary all the way through high school. He went on to attend Genesee Community College and completed a mold making apprenticeship that brought him into his career as a mold maker/tool maker. While employed with Bausch Health, Kevin met Adam Roach, and they became lifelong friends.

He enjoyed home improvement projects, spending time in the outdoors, and tractors. He had a great love and appreciation for the dogs he had throughout his life - Marley, Einstein, Scruffy, Charles, and Sheba. Kevin's love for animals extended far past his own pets, however, as he committed wholeheartedly to a vegan lifestyle and worked with the animal advocacy group, Anonymous for the Voiceless.

Kevin cared deeply for his family. He was the proud father to two daughters, Riley, and Aleah. To Kevin, Riley was "Rye-Rye", and Aleah was "Pumpkin". Kevin met his fiancée, Laurie Conrad, in September of 2007. Together, the family made wonderful memories while traveling. Some of their most memorable adventures were to Disney, Arizona, Hawaii, Yosemite, Seabrook Island, cross country road trips, and weekends away at the cabin in the Adirondacks or the cottage on Lake Ontario.

Kevin valued selflessness, dedication, and commitment, so sometimes relaxing was a challenge. He worked hard, loved adventure, and treated all living creatures with compassion. Kevin will be missed deeply and will be remembered as an inspiration to others to do good despite their circumstances.
