Ann Marie Lange
June 13, 1937 - August 17, 2022

Ann Marie "Sue" Lange, 85, passed away on the morning of August 17, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the widow of Richard Lange. They shared a marriage of 62 years. Born in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of John and Lottie Koscielny. Sue leaves behind her sister Judy and husband Norbie Sobolewski, and her brother Thomas Kostelny and sister-in-law Mary Ann Howard. Her children, William Lange, Dawn, and her husband Jerry Rud. Her grandchildren Curtis and his wife Tyra Chastain, Richard Lange, Brittany and her husband Daniel Fellenz, Justin and his wife Brooke Cottam, and Jay Cottam. Sue has four great grandchildren, Jackson Chastain, Cassadee Crittenden, Berkley and Everley Cottam. Although, far in distance, Sue cared for her nieces and nephews, Denise Considine, Jennifer Keane Janik, Paulette Keane-Riederer, Darryl Keane, Tom Kostelny JR, Brian Kostelny, Lisa Malikowski, Ann Marie Doerfler, Karen Kirchner, Cathy Howard, Julie Kuiken and Mary Lou Deck. Sue is welcomed into heaven by the friendly faces of her husband Richard Lange, parents John and Lottie Koscielny, siblings Norma Boganowski, John Kostelny and grandchild Bradley Cottam.
Sue discovered her love of cooking for others as she started working as baker. Later, she was employed with Washington School District for over 30 years and worked as a Cafeteria Manager. She always cared for children and welcomed the joy and curiosity they brought into her life. Sue belonged to the congregation of the Saint Jerome Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her cooking, especially her 'Lazy Man' Pierogi, her passion for her family, and her quiet, dry humor.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 25, 2022 at Hansen Mortuary (8314 N. 7th Street Phoenix, Az 85020). The viewing will start at 9 am, followed by services at 10 am. Graveside service will held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary (200 West Beardsley Road Phoenix, Az 85027) at 12:15 Pm. Live stream of the services will be provided on the Hansen website.
