"When Jim visited us in CA, coming by train - didn't like flyng much. It was always fun going places here like the beaches and finding good places to eat. As everyone knows, he was unpredictable, striking up conversations with anyone and then having a big laugh. Good memories. Love you Jim. Jan Irvin"

"You will truly be missed Gramps. I remember all the times we spent together from staying with you as a kid and coming over on Halloween and getting lots of candy. Also, can?t forget going to Santee and hunting grasshoppers with my paper route rubber bands. I love you and I will miss your sense of humor and much more. ~Ricky"
