In loving memory of

Garret "Gary" Harold Fleming
November 11, 1953 - August 6, 2022

Garrett "Gary" Harold Fleming, 68, died unexpectedly on August 6, 2022 at his home in Phoenix, AZ.

Gary was a character, oftentimes loud and opinionated, but with a generous and caring nature that stood out most to those who knew him well. It was commonly said he'd give you the shirt off his back, which must have been true as he was rarely seen wearing a shirt when home.

Gary is survived by his children, among them, Robert (Angela) McGerry, Tyler (Molly) Fleming, and Heather (Chris) Snoop; his brothers Wally and Dougie (Nancy) and his sister Mary (Eric) Nielsen; his grandchildren Mike, Emma, Garrett, Jackson, Jeffrey, Charlotte and Emily and many nieces and nephews.

Gary is reunited in heaven with his daughter Ashley, his parents Walter and Clara, his brothers Dickie and Freddie and his sister Margaret.

"For what must have been nearly 40 years, Gary always greeted me with a big smile, usually with a chuckle, and the greeting: ?Hey, Luke!? ?Hey Snapper, how?s it going?? It was always fun for me when I interacted with Gary - and the Fleming boys - as I got to meet - and enjoy times with - several of the brothers. Gary?s typically very direct, but warm and authentic, comments in advance of my son?s birth suggested to me his love of family and were accurate predictions. His happiness at the prospect of a fishing weekend was always obvious. Miss you, Snap. Just one of my favorite old colleagues at the Barrow."

"I am so heartbroken for his family and friends. I can honestly say I considered him a dear friend of mine. My life was more exciting and enriched because of his presence at my work place. Gary will be sorely missed. I feel truly blessed to have had his chaos in my life!!"

"My condolences to his children and family; he loved you deeply. Gary will be sorely missed by so many people. He was a great friend and employee. He was stubborn as a mule and set in his ways, but he was always reliable in a pinch. The St Joes crew will miss his giant cauliflowers and delicious tomatoes. Rest in peace old man! "

"Rest easy Gary. Thank you for all the memories, the good the bad and the ugly. I will never forget our journey together, and like it or not, you will always have a place in my heart. ;-) Give Ashley a kiss for me, Trace."
