"Alice and all your children, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Gary at Lost Nation in the 1970s and we remained friends; really enjoyed our conversations over the years, the most recent only a couple months ago. Yes, he was one of the best school administrators I ever worked with, but more importantly, he was a super good person...a great husband, dad, and granddad. We laughed at each other's mistakes throughout the years, and I often called Gary for advice. He mourned with me when I lost my wife; he was one of my most sincere and special friends. I will miss Gary and our talks, and I sincerely offer my condolences to all of you; you are in my prayers. Bob Cardoni"

"My sincere condolences and prayers. Gary was a true gentleman, educator and friend to all. He put all the students at ease so it was not a bad thing, but enjoyable to go see Mr. Mohl in the office. His athletic ability was passed on to all his kids, but more importantly his virtues, integrity and standards are carried on by his family. I always looked forward to running into Gary and Alice at the NIACC basketball games and chatting and catching up with them. May God grant you all peace, love and care during this time. Joe Keitel"
