Karen was born August 17, 1965, in Jacksonville, NC, and grew up in Omaha, NE. She was the youngest daughter of James Clemmons and Gertie Clemmons. Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her grandson Elijah, her brothers, James Clemmons IV and Kelly Clemmons, and daughter Brittaney Clemmons.
Karen was a 1984 graduate of Burke High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy. She was united in marriage to Jerome McCrearry on March 10, 2014.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with a celebration service immediately following, on Saturday, August 20, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1809 N 23rd St, Omaha, NE 68110.
The church has respectfully requested all guests wear a mask.
