Clyde Thomas Fultner
March 5, 1929 - August 8, 2022

Clyde T. Fultner, 93, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning, August 8, 2022.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2022, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Andrew, Iowa Cemetery.

Clyde Thomas Fultner was born on March 5, 1929 in Myrtle, Missouri to Thomas and Pearl (Miller) Fultner. He grew up in Missouri and learned the value of hard work at a young age by picking cotton and doing various other jobs. He married Arlene Beaman on December 20, 1952 in Bellevue, Iowa. Four children were born to this union, Katy, Cathy, Susie and Dennis.

Clyde had first farmed in the Olin area. He then worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa and later at Brock Lumberyard. He then worked at Jackson Industries in Maquoketa until retirement.

Clyde was a member of the Apostolic Gospel Tabernacle Church in Maquoketa. He enjoyed camping at 6B's, fishing, hunting, driving his golf cart, making walking canes, smoking meats, barbecuing, and spending time with all his family (including his Church family).

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Katy Riordan of Maquoketa, IA, Cathy Schlung of Maquoketa, IA, and Dennis (Jodi) Fultner of Maquoketa, IA; son-in-law, Leonard Barnette of Maquoketa, IA; 10 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arlene on December 14, 2007, a daughter Susie Barnette on January 18, 2020, brothers Jim and John, sisters Ethel and Elsie Mae, son-in-law Dennis Schlung, a great-grandson David, and a great-granddaughter Brooklynn.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County or the Apostolic Gospel Tabernacle Church in Maquoketa.
