Sharon Pickens, age 81, of Payson, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 5:33 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.
Sharon was born June 4, 1941 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of William P. and Rena Catherine Wilson Arp.
She graduated from Quincy High School. Sharon owned and operated River House Cafe and Farmers Inn, before she started cleaning homes and businesses in the Payson/Quincy areas. Sharon loved to bowl with her family.
Sharon is survived by her two sons, Dana Pickens of Payson, IL, and Mike (Mary) Flynn of Maywood, MO; her sister, Marye Worthington, of Custer, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her companion of the past 30 years, Gary W. Bunte, her brother, Gerald William Arp, and her brother-in-law, Richard Worthington.
A private graveside service will be held at Payson New Cemetery, with Rev. Anelle Ruemmler officiating.
