"I just learned today of Ross passing and joining the Big Meeting in the Sky. I have been one of the AAs in Grand Rapids who have been involved in carrying the message of recovery to Hope Network for the past several years. We met on Campus Tuesdays for a weekly meeting and have been meeting via Zoom through Covid. Ross was a key member of our Neuro Rehab 12 meeting. Our group tradition was to have Ross read the Preamble at the beginning of the meeting and Promises at the end. Ross was a solid member of the group and we will miss him and sharing his experience, strength, and hope. Godspeed to Ross and his family and friends. Bill Bjork"

"A story for the Family- Where Ross lived, I was the one that planned the monthly goings on. I would always have an outing as one of the activities. I had the pleasure of taking Ross to do some pool on a couple occasions. He had asked if I was any good, and when I told him that I wasn't he asked why I took him. He got a little frustrated at first, then invited me to play; 'even though I wasn't any good'. The more and more we played he had to remind me that I wasn't any good and that he would just have to give me lessons one day. FYI- he also let me know throughout certain Day shifts as well. Teasing me about how I wasn't any good and how he would beat me no matter what. I will miss that competitive side of who he was. "

"To Ross' family - I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Ross here in Grand Rapids since 1986. We have "grown old" together and every time we saw each other we would address that issue with a laugh. He always remembered my birthday and the fact that we were about 4 months apart. He was a special soul, I will cherish the many special memories. Please know that Ross was deeply adored by many here in Grand Rapids. "
