C. Joanne Wentz, 91, of Marion, passed away Thursday July 21, 2022, at 4:10 p.m. in Aperion Health Care. Joanne was born to Thomas and Nondus (Cain) Davidson on February 12, 1931, in Marion. She graduated from Chester Center High School in 1948 and went on to attend Marion College studying Business. She was a retired Office Manager from Flinn Place.
Joanne loved craft shows and she loved to cook. She was an all around girl who could crochet and loved to read mystery novels, but her favorite events were family reunions, where she loved being able to just gather with her family.
Joanne is survived by her three children, Nancy (John) Wentz-Sutton, of Angola, Indiana; Tim (Emily) Wentz, of Marion; and Patty (Richard) Dolan, of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren, Greg Fish, Stephanie Fish, Tricia Parker, Sarah Wentz Hale, and David Wentz; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Richard Wentz; son, Doug Wentz; four brothers, Tommy, Richard, James and Bill Davidson; sister, Peggy Dick; and son-in-law, Richard Dolan.
Arrangements for Joanne have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2022, in the mausoleum chapel at Gardens of Memory, 11201 S. Marion Road-35, Marion, Indiana 46953. Inurnment will follow in Gardens of Memory.
