Jimmie Trockur
December 4, 1936 - July 11, 2022

CUBA - Jimmie Trockur, of Cuba, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at his daughter's home. Born on December 4, 1936 to George and Theda (Despain) Trockur in Peoria, Illinois, Jimmie later went on to marry Becky Sparks in 1957 in Galesburg, Illinois. He and Becky, who preceded him in death in 2012, had four children: Jimmie (Wendy) Trockur Jr. of Sparland, Sherri Schaidle, of Cuba, Lori (Greg) Bozard of Macomb, and Lisa (Clint) Shehorn of Mount Pulaski, all of whom survive along with his sister Doralene Talbott, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren with two more on the way. Also preceding him in death are his parents and one sister, JoAnne Weinstein.
Jimmie worked as an Operating Engineer for the Local #649 and was initiated on August 8, 1958 and retired on April 1, 1999. He last worked for N.E. Finch in Peoria. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, horseman and a motorcycle enthusiast.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton and a Memorial Service will be held at the Cuba American Legion at 3:30 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2022, conducted by Howard Mayfield. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Legion for Celebration of his life.
