Sharron Trimmer, 83, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Glenwood Cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Sharron and her family.

OBITUARY
On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Sharron Trimmer of Glenwood, Iowa passed away at the age of 83 following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Sharron was born on May 2, 1939, in Shenandoah to Nick and Ellen (Jones) Reavis and spent the past 15 years living in Glenwood. She devoted her life to raising daughter Angel (Cindy) and collecting and reselling antiques, eventually opening an antique store.
In her early years, Sharron was a promising vocalist, spending her free time performing on the local radio station. Her performances won her first place in local talent competitions, eventually helping her place in the Miss Southwest Iowa Pageant.
In her later years, Sharron was a passionate advocate for cancer patients in Iowa. Her efforts were recognized by the Iowa House of Representatives on May 24, 2022, when she was honored with a resolution for her commitment and service to cancer patients and acknowledging her "big heart."
She is preceded in death by her husband Don Trimmer, parents Nick and Ellen, brother Nick Reavis, and daughter Angel (Cindy) Trimmer.
Sharron is survived by granddaughter Nikki L'Amour of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law Beverly (Black) Reavis; cousins, nephews, and a niece.
