Agnes G. (Mulderry) Schiano

July 10, age 86. Agnes passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a short illness. Agnes was born in Albany, New York. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Gertrude Mulderry, and brothers Thomas and John. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles A. Schiano, Sr, Esq.; children Honorable Charles A. Schiano, Jr. (Lori), Honorable Michael P. Schiano, Christopher A. Schiano, Esq. (Elizabeth), Kathleen Granville (Honorable Brett), Sean S. Schiano (Sarah); grandchildren, the joys of her life, Matthew Schiano, Esq., Luke Schiano, Michael Schiano, Jr., Benjamin Schiano, Esq., Nico Schiano, Luca Schiano, Caitlyn Schiano, Samantha Schiano, Meghan Schiano, Adam Granville, Jacob Granville, Daniel Granville, Jennifer Granville, and Samuel Schiano.

Agnes was a graduate of the Holy Name Academy in Albany, New York. She received her Master's in Education at the College of St. Rose in Albany and was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame. Agnes was an outstanding college athlete on the basketball court at the College of St. Rose, and earned the nickname "Dead-Eye Ag." She taught education in the Albany area for three years. Agnes loved spending time with her grandchildren and their many sports and educational activities. She was involved in the parent associations at Nazareth Hall, Nazareth Academy and the Aquinas Institute. Agnes loved her family vacations in Cape Cod for over 40 years. She was an exceptional cook, everyone loved her butter and chocolate chip cookies, and she loved the NY Yankees.

Please join the family for visitation on Thursday, July 14 from 3 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Agnes' Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 15, 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Agnes' memory to the School of the Holy Childhood at 100 Groton Way, Rochester, NY 14623 or the Padre Pio Chapel, Frank Dimino Way, Rochester, New York 14624.
