"Marcie, (?Mom? to me), was one of the most kindest, generous, funny and caring person I?ve ever known. She was my best friend and always there for me. She and my father were engaged to be married when my father passed due to a massive heart attack in 1973. One of the best times we spent together playing Yahtzee late that night and afterwards, we shared her bed together. Her stomach was keeping both of us awake making the loudest gurgling noises. We started laughing and simply couldn?t stop as it became louder and louder!! This was before she ?won? Dad (Don Patten) in a raffle at the Elks Lodge! It never mattered what we did when we were together. Her glass was always ?half full? , and we always had a great time. A huge chunk of my heart is now gone with both mom and dad. I take comfort only in knowing they?re together again, and always. Love and prayers to my brother and my sisters. xox "
