In loving memory of

THOMAS G. "TOMEE" MITCHELL
November 1, 1984 - June 16, 2022

Thomas Gerald "Tomee" Mitchell, 37, of Gwinn, passed away unexpectedly the evening of June 16, 2022.

Tomee was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His smile could light up any room and his laugh was contagious. Tomee grew up playing baseball with his dad as his umpire and loved shooting hoops with all his childhood best friends. He loved football and was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints. Tomee adored animals, especially his life-long pup, Dottie.

He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed carpentry, working on vehicles and you could find him at the local grocery store Larry's as your butcher. He never met a stranger and would always be quick to offer up some of the best advice to anyone he met. When asked how he was doing, he always replied "living the dream." He was a true inspiration to so many people, especially his pride and joy, Little Tomee, his son.

Music was his all-time favorite. He loved singing and he always told the best jokes. He touched the lives of so many people and he will be greatly missed.

Tomee is survived by his father, Dan Mitchell; mother, Minnie Mitchell; Grandmother, Natalie Nogales; spouse, Candace Mitchell; son, Tomee Mitchell Jr; stepchildren, Dominik Brooks and Alexis Brooks; sisters, Missy Mitchell, Niki Frost (Dean Frost) and Ashley Mitchell; brother, Sammy Soto; nephews, Daniel Wadley, Levi Mitchell, Landen Racine, Zachary Thomas Jr and Carson Thomas; and nieces, Madeline Frost, Elizabeth Frost and Remi White.

"Tomee, There is so much I want to say, but where do I begin & where do I end? your life was so much more than words could ever describe. Your heart & kindness to others encompassed everything in your path! each & every person who was fortunate to meet you & then those who were lucky to know you! you have been a blessing in so many lives. I wish you would have known this. I loved to listen back in the day when you and Eric would have those deep philosophical conversations. & how one of you would get animated telling or explaining to the other a new discovery or "mind blown" moment. & I'm going to miss hearing your name from Bobby & or Eric telling me about another adventure or what sound, wise advice you would always give. We could tell, you were an old soul with your wisdom & knowledge beyond your years. You were so kind to everyone, always looking for a way to make another's life easier or better, & the respect you showed to others, was always so appreciated. You my son from another mother will be missed everyday, & within the trail of disbelief & broken hearts you've left behind, rest assured memories of you will live within for eternity!. Fly high, your Living the dream Tomee, You're Living the Dream. but don't forget to send us a message once in a while. love you always Tomee! & to his parents, siblings, spouse, & all 3 kids you have my deepest heart felt sympathies. I pray that you recieve peace & a form of understanding, along with strength to help you through the days, weeks, & months to come. & know in those quiet moments when you feel a bit of peace that is Tomee surrounding you in his love. (((hugs))) Candace."
