"Bill and I were best friends going back to the ?80?s when my family lived in San Diego for seven years. He would make fun of me when I would put ice in my beer, You know the old adage ?the older I get, the better I was.? Bill would take this thought to the extreme. According to Bill - he was a much better golfer, baseball player, basketball player and pretty much everything else than me. We?d jokingly ?argue? about this for years. Bill and I struggled with some of the same challenges in our lives and although we hadn?t seen each other for many years, an occasional call or email continued our close connection. He will always hold a dear place in my heart. Bob Finkelstein "

"Bill was one of my dad?s best friends and they shared close to 40 years of friendship, and laughs together. Always joking - almost competitive - to find out who could concoct the wittiest rib, punch line or get-rich-quick idea. Bill brought joy and infectious enthusiasm whenever he visited us. I found him kind and thoughtful always, and even in his later years he was still helping out when I sought baseball esoterica for my husband. Love to Bill and to the whole family!!! -Felicia Kalker "
