In loving memory of

Daniel Morisak
January 3, 1921 - June 22, 2022

Daniel Morisak transitioned peacefully from this life to the next in the early morning of June 22, 2022, in Whittier, California. Though Whittier was home for many years, Daniel started his life in the Midwest. Born to parents John and Anna (Reseli) on January 3, 1921 in Sharon Pennsylvania, he spent his formative years in Akron Ohio and even graduated from Akron's own Kenmore High School. It was also in Akron that he met his beloved bride, Gloria Eiland; the two were wed on June 13, 1942- Gloria's 18th Birthday.

Daniel answered the call that many of his generation did, serving in the United States Army Air Corps from January of 1942 until September of 1945. During his service he traveled to the likes of Australia, the Philippine Islands, Kerowina and New Guinea. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and even a ribbon for Good Conduct.

It was after his time in the service that he and Gloria settled in Whittier and began to raise a family with Gloria and their son Daniel W. Morisak. He had a 27-year professional life as a Printer in Newspaper Publication as well.

When Daniel wasn't working or spending time with family, he was well-known for his competitive spirit in the game of ping pong, welcoming the challenge of any opponent who had the nerve to get beaten... they usually were. He also loved his time in the garage, working on cars and motorcycles as long as he was able.

Daniel's remarkable 101 years in this life left a deep impact for those that knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his son Daniel W, 1 Granddaughter Tracey and her husband Joe, 2 Great Grandsons, 3 Step Great Granddaughters, and 1 Step Great Grandson.
