Michael L. Miller, 81, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Graveside services with military honors in the Silver City Cemetery will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Michael and his family.

Michael Lynn Miller, 81, of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away on July 1, 2022.

Michael was born September 8, 1940 to Arthur Hans and Maude Irene (Mass) Miller. He graduated from Silver City High School and then served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1964. Michael worked for the Mills County Department of Roads for numerous years.

As a talented musician, his passion was to play the drums. For several years he played drums for a band called, "Country". Deep and long-lasting friendships were formed with his fellow band members.

Michael married Roberta Virginia Stewart on July 8, 1960. To this union three children were born: Stuart, Scott, and Shelly. Roberta passed away on July 9, 2000.

On March 18, 2015, Michael married Wendy Hornstein

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, wife Roberta Miller, brother Darwin Miller and wife Jean; sisters, Elaine Sell and husband Harrison, and Kathryn Schnepel and husband Gerald; and nephew Dennis Miller.

Michael is survived by wife Wendy Hornstein-Miller; his children, Stuart Lynn Miller (Susie), Scott Michael Miller, and Shelly Hatfield; grandchildren Katie Lynn Van Winkle (Whitney), Stuart Michael Miller (Molly), Derrick Hatfield, and Jami Bammer (Matthew); six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and an untold list of friends.
