Raymond "Frank" Hawley was born on July 19, 1934, to Raymond "Ford" and Edith (Larson) Hawley in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Vail. Frank married Pat Griffin on January 26, 1958 in Lake View and four children were born to this union: Janelle, Alisa, Greg, and Erica. The family made their home on a farm near Denison. Frank was a member of the Grace Evangelical Free Church in Denison. After retirement, Frank and Pat enjoyed traveling. One of his favorite things was going to Yellow Smoke to have a picnic and grill food and enjoy the company. He enjoyed going to visit and helping on the farm after it was passed down to his son, Greg. Above all he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Frank passed away, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Gracewell-Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 12 days.
