Terry L. Ziesman

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona with Pastor Thomas Cowell officiating. Burial will be held in Lu Verne Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona.

Terry Lee Ziesman was born April 21, 1951 in Fort Dodge, son of Herbert and Rita (Zuetlau) Ziesman. He grew up in Humboldt and Algona and graduated from Algona High School in 1969. Following high school, Terry worked at Snap-On before enlisting in the army. During that time, he was stationed in Germany for two years. Terry was honorably discharged in April of 1972.

Following his time in the army, Terry attended Iowa State University for a couple years before moving to California. While he was there, he met Lee Ann "Pixie" Pardun. The two were united in marriage on May 7, 1983 in Las Vegas. The couple moved back to Algona in September of 1999 and Terry managed properties and had his real estate license.

Terry enjoyed working, but in his free time he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Terry also enjoyed riding his Harley, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Minnesota Viking fan, had a huge love for animals, and was a member of Kiwanis.
Terry died Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. He was 71.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann "Pixie" Ziesman of Algona; daughter, Amber (fiancé, Aaron Chase) Ziesman of Broomfield, CO; grandchildren, Jenny and Austin Berte, both of Broomfield, CO; siblings, Craig (Francine) Ziesman of Scottsdale, AZ, Scott (Laura) Ziesman of Algona, Kris (John) Wagner of Algona; mother-in-law, Coleen Whipple of Mason City; sisters-in-law, Barb (Dave) Fair of Algona, Paula Pardun of Bloomington, MN, Jennifer Pardun of Waterloo; brother-in-law, Phillip (Tammy) Pardun of Mason City; his German Shepherd Lucy; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Dennis Ziesman; father-in-law, Shirley Pardun; step-mother-in-law, Carol Pardun; and sister-in-law, Nancy (Moore) Ziesman.
