"I first meet Officer Fay when he gave a tour to our cub scout group of the old city jail. Later when I worked for the State in law enforcement I worked with Micky we laughed and enjoyed working together. He always had that smirk that made me wonder what prank he was going to pull on me before we departed. Fay family he was a good man and did his best to protect the people of Dodge. John Baber"

"I worked with Lt Fay, Mickey, on the Fort Dodge PD. I remember one morning (1981) as we driving past the Crossroads Mall area, I saw some minor traffic violation, so I advised Lt Fay of it. Well, that didn't go over very well, I thought is was going to slap me with his white hat, but he didn't. He told me that the little s$$$ should be ignored. You know, he was right, all that minor stuff really was nothing. I always remembered that, more so latter in my career. Also when I went to the night shift and met Lt Fay as he was coming in for his morning shift, he always smiled and greeted me. Sympathies and prayers for Mickey's family. Leon Vick"
"Praying for the family. I had the privilege of knowing Mickey for years. We had several encounters over those years, and we always ended up smiling. "
