Sondra Kay Parker

Sondra Kay Parker, age 81, of Matthews, Indiana, died at IU Health in Hartford City, Indiana, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on January 9, 1941, to Ted and Ruth Anna Lawvere of Matthews, Indiana. Her parents have preceded her in death. Kay has resided in Matthews most of her life. She married Alfred Ben Parker, Jr. on September 19, 1970, and they have been married for 51 years.
Kay is survived by her sister, Sue Ann Ruddick; nieces, Trisha and Julia of Missouri; cousins, Mark, Rick, Dave, and "Cork" Walters of Matthews, Dona Hunter and Jan Olinger of Northern Indiana, and John Lawvere and LaRea Slater of Upland.
Kay loved playing golf, going to Panama City Beach, Florida, and watching IU basketball and women's sports.
There will be a memorial service honoring Kay's life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989.
