Esther M. Bragg
May 13, 1930 - June 19, 2022

Esther M. Bragg passed away June 19, 2022 at the age of 92 at IU Blackford Hospital. She was born on May 13, 1930 to the late Ernest and Georgia (Spurgeon) Wendt in Peru, Indiana. She attended Peru High School and graduated in 1948. Right after high school she married Gail Bragg on August 29, 1948.

Esther and Gail had five sons, Cliff, Jeff, Scott, Joe, and Jim.

Esther attended Epworth United Methodist Church in Matthews, Indiana. She also was involved in the United Methodist Women's Ministry. In the winter months Esther would travel to Fisherman's Cove in Tavares, Florida. After a few years she moved to Holiday Park in Tavares, Florida.

Esther is survived by her son's, Cliff (Lois) Bragg, Scott Bragg, both of Upland, IN; daughter-in-law Lori Bragg of Hartford City; grandchildren Nikki (Todd) Roush, Clay (Sarah) Bragg, Andy (Randi) Bragg, Melinda (Steve) Kinsey, Travis (Raeann) Bragg, and Curtis Bragg; she is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Esther is preceded in death by both her parents Ernest and Georgia (Spurgeon) Wendt; husband Gail Bragg; sons, Jeff Bragg, Joe Bragg, and Jim Bragg; grandson Michael Bragg; sisters, Betty Albert and Sherry Kay Wray; brother Jack Wendt.

Funeral arrangements for Esther have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, IN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 11-2 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Pastor Brian Cooper officiating. A burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Sweetser, Indiana.
