Funeral Mass for Loretta will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Divine Mercy Parish ~ St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Wesley. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wesley or Britt EMT.
Loretta Mary Hildman was born December 12, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Schiltz) Priester. She grew up on the family farm south of Whittemore with 7 siblings and graduated from West Bend Consolidated High School in 1945.
She was united in marriage on June 23, 1948, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore to Clair Hildman. Loretta was a farm wife until Clair retired from farming in 1980 and they moved to Humboldt. After Clair's death, she moved to Britt. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, golf, and flowers.
Loretta passed away peacefully Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Westview Care Center in Britt. She was 96 years old.
She is survived by her five children, Pam Hildman of Des Moines, Bonnie Holland of Boise, ID, Richard (Patti) Hildman of Tucson, AZ, Lois Cook of Collinsville, IL, and Don (Mary) Hildman, Britt; eight grandchildren, LeeAnn (Chad) Reed, Jamie (Luke) Belford, Lisa (Greg) Gunderson, Joshua (Sarah) Hildman, Amber (Jess) Youngwirth, Miranda (James) Kranz, Autumn (Bret) Swanson, Christopher (Courtney) Cook; 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and any many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Clair; daughter, Mary Hildman; her parents, Joseph and Virginia (Schiltz) Priester; siblings, Veronica Higgins, Viola Kollasch, Catherine Walker, Lewis Priester, Francis (Frank) Priester, and Marcella (Sally) Lindsey.
