Lynette Kay Ludwig
October 24, 1958 - June 7, 2022

Lynette Kay Ludwig was born October 24, 1958 in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the daughter of John and Elsie (Hanson) Cookson. Lynette graduated from Albion High School in 1977 and attended Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing.

On August 5, 1983, Lynette was united in marriage to Robert Ludwig at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Vail. To this union, they were blessed with three sons. They made their home on a farm outside of Vail.

After raising their three sons, Lynnette attended Briar Cliff University and obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She worked for Crawford County Home Health and Hospice and recently retired. Lynette loved her work and enjoyed helping others.

Lynette was active with her kids and grandkids, attending school and sports events. She loved being around her five grandchildren. She also enjoyed Pilates and taking walks around the farm.

Lynette passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, at the age of sixty-three. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brad Cookson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Ludwig of Vail; three sons: Matt Ludwig and his wife, Jamie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Zach Ludwig of Breda and his three children: Zoey, Wyatt, and Alexa; Seth Ludwig and his wife, Jessica of Westside and their two children: Greylin and Walter; parents, John and Elsie Cookson of Denison; and other relatives and friends.

A private family burial will be at the King Cemetery in Vail. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
