Janice Trayweek
January 13, 1955 - June 1, 2022

Janice Trayweek, 67, passed away during the evening of June 1, 2022, at the Daviess Community Hospital. She was born in Washington on January 13, 1955, to Norman and Mary (Ray) Fitzgerald. On April 14, 1979, she married Donald Trayweek who preceded her in death on April 2, 2016.

Janice was a graduate of Washington High School who went on to become a supervisor at Sunbeam Electronics. She enjoyed camping at the river, but, was happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a past member of the Eagles.

Those who now mourn Janice's passing include her children: Roxanne Trayweek of Washington, Craig (Kassie) Trayweek of Tifton, Georgia, and Jennifer Cooper of Lexington, Kentucky. Janice was blessed with several grandchildren: Natasha Trayweek; Jasmine Campbell; Elijah Campbell; Arianna Lane; Lidia Lloyd; Hunter Trayweek; Christopher Crisman, and three great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Trayweek, Faith Campbell, and Nila Trayweek. Additionally, Janice leaves three siblings, all living in Florida: Joyce Cox, John Fitzgerald, and Norman "Jim" Fitzgerald.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mary Fitzgerald; her husband, Donald Trayweek; siblings: Albert Fitzgerald; Tony Fitzgerald; Bobby Fitzgerald; Mary Lois Fitzgerald; and Nancy Reister.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 19, 2022, 1:00-4:00 pm, in the Screened-in Pavilion Building at the Washington Eastside Park.
