Kayla Ann Beaston-Smith, age 39, of Quincy, died on Monday, May 30, 2022, at 9:22 am at Blessing Hospital.

Kayla was born December 13, 1982 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Marty Beaston, Sr. and Linda Silman. She married Karoy Smith on July 28, 2018 in Quincy, Illinois. He survives.

Kayla graduated attended St. Mary's grade school and Quincy Junior and Senior High Schools. She was employed at the Optical Department at ShopKo until she left to be a stay at home for her children. Kayla was devoted to her family and loved crafting and coloring. She was a great cook and loved baking.

Kayla was a genuinely nice person whose smile would light up the room. If you knew her, you saw this often because she was always laughing.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Karoy, include six children, Kyle Beaston, Jakailynn Smith, Amarie Smith, Royce Smith, Keelan Beaston, and Melina Hodge, all of Quincy; her father, Marty (Susan) Beaston, Sr. of Panhandle, TX; her mother-in-law, Charroy (Darrell Fain) Smith of Texas; her father-in-law, Bill (Dlesia) Minor of Iowa; two aunts, Terry Zahn and Karen "Susie" Hatfield, both of Quincy; numerous cousins including, Amy (Tony) Rhinberger of Quincy; Timmy (Jamie) Eyler of Benton, LA; Brenda (Kenny) Vahle of Quincy; Bruce Hatfield of Quincy; Kim (Mike) Lenz of Liberty, IL; Richie Silman of Keokuk, IA; Jamie (John) Logsdon of Liberty, IL; Kenny Silman of Quincy; Cyndi (Jeff) Powell of Iowa; Tony (Missy) O'Neal of Girard, IL; Tommy (Tammy) Vollbracht of Arizona; Eric Vollbracht of Springfield, IL; Cory Vollbracht of Springfield, IL; Bradley (Charlene) Silman of Quincy; and Patrick (Tama) Silman of Hull, IL.

Kayla was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Beaston; a brother, Marty Beaston, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, James Sr. and Anna Marvel Silman; her grandmother-in-law, Royce Warren; and aunts and uncles: Janis Harms, Kathy Crossett, James Silman, Jr, David Silman, Randall "Joe" Silman, and Dale Hatfield; and three cousins; Alissa Zornes, Wendy Crossett, and Bobby Eyler.

Visitation: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Services: 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
