"Dave left a lasting impression on me, taught me lessons I still carry to this day. I am now 29 years old playing professionally in Europe. I was asked about coaches that made an impact on my life and the first person that came to my mind was him. Dave is a rare person, coaches and people are hard to find like him. I grew up with Dave as my coach, a blessing and experience that shaped me. He always pushed us, even when we didn?t want to, because he cared and wanted more for all of his players. Sometimes it was not always a popular decision but he made difficult ones for his players so we could be better players but also better people. He always will remain a special place in my heart and inspiration in my career. That little girl he pushed to be better and encouraged she was so much more and that she could do it- says thank you Dave. I?m grateful to have reconnected with you in the past years and you cannot be forgotten. Thank you Dave. For everything. May you rest in paradise.

"Dave coached our son Austin Meyer at Santa Rosa United and was a big influence in Austin's development as a player and as a young man. They stayed in touch and our family always have fond memories (and some crazy one too!) of our time with Dave's team, the Boca Juniors. Those were great years. Pam & Leroy Meyer"
