James D. Cross
September 9, 1933 - May 20, 2022
James D. Cross passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022 at his home in Scottsdale AZ at the age of 88.
He was a veteran, serving in the Navy band. Upon leaving the military, he became band director for Evergreen Park School District 124,
principal at Southwest School in Evergreen Park while receiving his doctorate, and completing his career as superintendent of schools for the District of Evergreen Park 124.
James retired in 1996, and moved to Arizona with his beloved wife Lenora where they happily resided for many years. They loved to cruise and enjoyed their retirement years traveling around the globe. James and Lenora were married in 1964 and inseparable until Lenora passed away in 2018.
He was a man of God, who loved the Lord and showed it in many ways through his actions.
James leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, and most of all love to those who were blessed to know him.
He will be greatly missed, but is now reunited with the love of his life, Lenora.
