James "Jim" Dooley, 53, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Holy Trinity Church. A private burial will be held at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family. A visitation and time of gathering will be immediately following the service at the Corpus Christi Parish Center.
Jim is survived by his wife Debbie Dooley of Fort Dodge and children Daniel Dooley of Ames and Sophie Dooley of Fort Dodge; mother, Alice Dooley of Fort Dodge; siblings, Stephen and Sue Dooley of Grimes and Danielle and Mick Rathermel of Fort Dodge; mother-in-law Kay Knudson and sister-in-law Barb Knudson; nieces, nephews; many, many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Dan Dooley; niece Caitey Rathermel and father-in-law Vernon Knudson.
James Ronald Dooley was born August 31, 1968 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Catholic schools and graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1987. He completed his college education through Buena Vista University in Fort Dodge. Following his education, Jim began his employment with Randalls Food Stores. He was united in marriage to Deb Knudson on September 24, 1994 at Sacred Heart Church. In 1997 he started working for Humes Distributing. Jimmy enjoyed pheasant hunting and was an avid Chiefs fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

"WOW! SO Shocked to see Jim's Obit here. I worked with him @ Randalls Grocery and he used to deliver Beer to the Convenience Stores I worked @ also. He was a GREAT GUY !!! I am truly Sorry for his family's loss. "
