In loving memory of

Maria Ranieri
January 23, 1936 - May 19, 2022

Maria Ranieri of Scottsdale, Arizona was born on January 23, 1936 in Bari, Italy to Vito and Chiara Guerra. She was the eldest of 7 siblings; Nicola, Salvatore, Francesco, Isabella, Anna and Angelo.

Maria is the beloved wife of Vincenzo (deceased) of 35 years. Loving mother to Laura, Clara, Lydia, and Christina and mother-in-law to Charlie, Gregg and Dan. A wonderful "Nonna" (grandmother) to Natali, Jessica, Vince, Brian, Maria, Anthony, Joseph, Nicholas, Samantha and Michael. She was blessed to be a "Nonna B." (Great grandmother) to Isabella, Jackson, Emily, Harrison, Hayden, Ellianna, Addison and Carson.

As a teen she met the love of her life, Vincenzo. In 1956, they married and moved to the United States, with her family and settled in Detroit, Michigan and started their family. In 1984 they moved to Arizona.

Maria's love for her family was undeniable. She was a devoted wife and mother, whose world revolved around caring for her family. She was also a woman with many talents, from cooking, gardening, sewing, crafts and so much more. One of her biggest successes was when she became the proud restaurant owner of Maria's When in Naples, in Scottsdale, Arizona from 1991-2004. Maria's legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in her honor at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. http://giftfunds.stjude.org/mariaranieri
