Donald L. "Butch" Rodenborn Jr., 68 of Twin Lakes, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Holy Trinity Church Fort Dodge. Msgr. Kevin McCoy will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation is on Sunday, May 29 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Butch is survived by his wife Peg of Twin Lakes, daughter Lindsay (Andy) Kothe of Goodyear, AZ, son Patrick (Amanda) of Ankeny, IA, son Mark (Emilyann), daughter Megan Bomar of Goodyear AZ, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother Jim Rodenborn (Ann) of Fort Dodge, sister-in-law Mary of Sioux Falls, SD, sister Jane Wynn (Ted) of Wheaton IL, and sister Molly Warren (Bart) of Winston Salem, NC, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Billie (McDonnell) Rodenborn and brother John Rodenborn.
Butch was born August 25, 1953 in Fort Dodge where he lived and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1971. On June 30, 1984, Butch married Peg Hacker. The couple lived and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Butch served as Vice President of his family business Hawkeye Glove Manufacturing and retired, sharing time between Twin Lakes, IA and Goodyear, AZ. Butch loved golfing, swimming and listening to music. He enjoyed 4th of July gatherings at the lake, shooting water balloons at passersby, and fireworks with his family. He was a member of the Fort Dodge Country Club, Twin Lakes Golf Club, Twin Lakes Sailing Association, and the St. Francis Catholic Church in Rockwell City, IA.
Memorials may be left to discretion of the family.

"Butch was a grade school classmate and friend. We spent many days each year riding our bikes all over Fort Dodge. I remember him as fun and fearless. I spent many weekends at his families twin lakes cabin. Wnen me 3 yr old sister died , his family took me for a week to help me ease the pain. Wonderful man and family."
