Iris Gittelman
December 23, 1928 - May 19, 2022

Iris Gittelman Dec 23rd 1928-May 19th 2022.
A child of the Depression and an adolescent of WW2, Iris led a full life of 93 yrs.
Her parents, Yetta and Aaron Parker, were eastern European Immigrants. The youngest of 3 children, she grew up in North Bergen NJ.
She attended Endicott Junior college and Syracuse University; where she met her 1st husband and father of her children , Bruce Brown. Later, as a divorced single mother of 2, she attained her masters degree in education; taught in the Plainfield NJ School system for more than 2 decades as a Speech Pathologist. She later met and married Dr Morton Gittelman .Iris and Morty enjoyed travelling , and visiting their grand children.
Following Morty's passing, Iris remained in NJ until 4 yrs ago when she moved to Scottsdale to be closer to family. She leaves numerous friends at Maravilla Independent Living.
Iris is survived by her children, Rhonda Brown, Seth Brown and their spouses Ray Perez and Sherryl Brown; her granddaughters Raechell (Brown) Arapovic, Gabriella Perez, Ashley Davey, Karlo Arapovic (Raechell's husband), and Sean Buckley (Gabriella's husband); her great grandchildren Taylor Davey and Ayrton Arapovic, Chase Dornan(deceased).
Iris was a cultured, educated, stylish, beautiful woman. She is loved and will be remembered fondly by all who crossed her path.
