Helen M. Waughtel, 83, of Canton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 20, 2022, at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1939, in Tinley Park, to Russell and Ruth (Brewer) Bettehnhausen.
She is survived by two children, Thomas (Linda) Raley of Milwaukee, WI, and Suzette Waughtel of Canton; two brothers, Larry (Vera) Betthenhausen and Roscoe (the late Eileen) Bettenhausen; one sister, Claudette (the late Owen) Bosard; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Boothe; and two brothers, Russell Betthenhausen, Jr., and Benjamin (the late Pamela) Bettenhausen.
Helen was a beautician for over 20 years. She also had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made St. Jude Children's Hospital.
