"We are truly going to miss Bobby and all that he was.
Marilyn captured it perfectly in a few words what Bobby was ?sweet kind gentle soul?
He was always giving and never expected anything in return. I have many stories to share and all of them filled with love and compassion and a few we shared just between us.
One Christmas he gave me a bicycle that he completely rebuilt, a true master piece. I rode it until the tires flew off.
Bobby got me a part time job once working at an appliance store where he worked at on Whittier boulevard. I was part of the crew that unloaded appliances from a freight train not far from Whittier High School. He told them I was 18, but actually I was only 16. Anyway, I skipped school (don?t tell mom) and worked for two days unloading appliances. I had one hell of a time convincing the crew I was 18, but was able to get the job done.
Despite our age difference of almost 7 years, he always treated me as an equal. He taught me so much over the years about life and working on cars. I will never master his patience and his genuine love for people, but I do have the bug for restoring cars, just ask my wife and Summit Racing!
He was much more than one in a million, ?He was one of one?
I hope we all can find comfort and peace in the arms of those we love.
Rest In Peace Brother?
Richard and Esther Bottalico"
