Janice A. Hawthornthwaite
November 1, 1931 - April 24, 2022

Janice A. Hawthornthwaite, 90, passed away April 24, 2022 in Phoenix. She was the wife of Gerald "Jerry" Hawthornthwaite with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1931, in Methuen, MA to Alfred and Mae Jacobson.

Janice is survived by her husband, Jerry; son Scott; daughter Gail Paschall and husband John; grandchildren Christopher, Andrew and Katie; great granddaughters Wendy and Ada; and several nieces and nephews.

Janice was known for her warm, fun loving personality and kind, generous spirit. She and Jerry enjoyed many memorable trips and cruises together after his retirement. She touched many lives over the years through her volunteer work with several charitable organizations, including the Desert Mission Food Bank and Child Crisis Nursery of Phoenix. She was a deeply loved wife, Mom and Nana who will be greatly missed.

A private celebration of life has been held.

Janice's family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Hospice of the Valley for all of their care and support.
