In loving memory of

Loretta D. Hall
December 25, 1946 - May 10, 2022

Loretta D. Hall, 75, of Peoria, born Christmas Day, 1946, was received into the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 10, 2022. Upon accepting Christ as her Savior as a young adult, she committed to growing in His knowledge and serving Him, a lifelong testament of faith and a gift to all who knew her. Northwest Baptist Church was her second home where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She married her high school sweetheart, George Hall, on August 21, 1962, and he was by her side as she drew her last breath, as were their two children, Randy and Linda (Sheri Anger). Loretta showered affection upon her family and took great pride in their accomplishments, largely attributable to her nurturing and loving encouragement.
Aside from her faith and family, her friends meant so much to her. Loretta loved Elvis Presley's music and was still dancing to it on her last birthday. She was George's number one fan and pit member during the decades he drove race cars and was elated when she won a Powder Puff Derby.
While family and friends give thanks that her physical and mental suffering have ended, she will be dearly missed until the gift of eternal life brings them together again.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Pearl Jones, and her brother Larry Jones, all formerly of Elmwood, IL.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Northwest Baptist Church, Peoria, IL, or Shriner's Hospital.

"I know if Loretta were to read this, she would probably say not to be sad, that she was being called home. Loretta was beautiful inside and out; a true blessing to everyone in her life. A devoted mother and wife. A God's honest living example of how to walk in faith. I will miss her dearly."
