William Hardgrove
July 31, 1942 - May 8, 2022

Bill Hardgrove, age 79, of Fort Dodge, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie, his daughters Deb Schmidt (Steve), Becky Hardgrove (Marcus Hill), Andrea Gray (Travis) and Shelly Anderson, his grandchildren Dustyn & Belecia Phillips, Dylan Phillips & Erin, Tyus Hardgrove & Maranda, Dalton Schmidt, Carter Gray, Jaxson Gray, Sierra & Clayton Vorland, Samantha & Robbie Pepper, 11 great-grandchildren, Dreyzon, Destinee, Tayviarra, Tieryn, Liam, Leo, Ryerson, Kahler, Mila, Brody & Posey. Bill is also survived by his brother, Ralph Hardgrove (Sharon) along with many nieces and nephews and his best little fur friend and protector, Missy.
He was preceded by his parents Dwight and Elva (Barton) Hardgrove, and his son-in-law Randy Phillips.
William Barton Hardgrove was born on July 31, 1942 in Fort Dodge. Bill and Bobbie married when Bill was 19 and Bobbie was 16. Bobbie was the love of his life and they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage together. He worked until retirement at Swaney Equipment/Murphy Tractor. Bill enjoyed piddling around in his garage, feeding the birds & squirrels, fishing, spending time with his daughters and grandchildren and meeting up with his buddies at the bar. He was known by many as Papa and Hokey. Bill was loved and respected by everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of his life.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
